Our Dentist

Dr. Salim Gulamhusein was born and raised in the GTA. He was one of a select group of only 60 students nationally to gain admission to McMaster University’s highly competitive Hons. B.Arts Sc degree program. After receiving his undergraduate education, he attended the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at University of Western Ontario (now Western University) in London, Ontario and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2007.

Dr. Gulamhusein has been practicing full-time in Cobourg since early 2008. Initially, he worked alongside Dr. Richard Simon (retired) in the Northumberland Professional Building. In 2018, the same practice moved to its current location in Midtown mall to better accommodate its growing needs.

Dr. Gulamhusein is an active member of both the Durham Ontario and Peterborough & District dental societies, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and the Ontario Dental Association (ODA). When he is not in the office, he enjoys watching sports and chasing around his two young daughters, Nadiya and Alayna.
